EAT

This year, visitors to the island get to enjoy Aotearoa’s oldest dish, with a truly unique Motutapu hāngi experience thanks to HĀNGI MASTER. Rewi Spraggon, founder of Hāngi Master believes that to cook Hāngi for people is at the heart of the welcome and hospitality of Māori culture. Traditional Māori kai using a time-honoured ancestral practise to heat rocks with manuka timber then bury the food in the earth to cook a delicious meal, which takes on the flavours of the earth and the smokiness of the timber. Soul food at its best! Kai available include HĀNGI TUTURU (Pork, Chicken, Potato, Kumara, Pumpkin, Cabbage, Stuffing and Watercress salad), HĀNGI PORK BELLY BAO, PORK BUNS and HĀNGI PIE. A tasty selection of Auckland food trucks will also be available, including spanish paela, your classic hot chips and real fruit ice cream. A range of Gluten free and vegan options will be available.

DRINK

And for those who enjoy a tipple while forgetting about life for a while, beverage partners include ice cold MUMM CHAMPAGNE, STONELEIGH WINES, ABSOLUT VODKA RTD, JAMESON WHISKEY RTD, and MOA BEER. FOR THE BETTER GOOD water will be available along with KARMA COLA range of beverages.

DANCE

And of course, the big dance features a mixture of local and international flavours.

Session Tahi kicks off on Friday afternoon with the return of New Zealand’s greatest dance exponents JORDAN LUCK BAND this time bringing the full band and production. The session also includes vibe setting sets from BONTEMPO and quinnessential party act SWEET MIX KIDS.

With two sessions taking place on the Saturday (Session Rua + Session Toru), electronic dance music lovers are in for a treat from sets from PORIS and SWEET MIX KIDS (Session Rua) and ANA AGIÜS (Session Toru). Both sessions are headlined by special liquid drum and bass performance from UK Producer K MOTIONZ.

Then Sunday sees Session Whā welcome kids of all ages, with JORDAN LUCK BAND and SWEET MIX KIDS all heading back to the island, joined by live house duo SAMSON LIVE to entertain the whole family on the final session.
